First and foremost, I’d like to give my gratitude to my best friend, my brother, Mr Kristian Castillo. As of 2023 we’ve known each other for thirteen years, which is basically most of our lives. He was the only one that was mad enough to spend unlimited hours and give thoughts into this and our previous stories, and helped me build this world from nothing. If it’s not for him this story would never be as good as it could be, and I would never would have found my passion for writing. So thank you my brother, I would never forget our thursday McDonald’s and endless meetings. This book marked the begingin our partnership, the beginning of the V. K. CHRIS duo, and the beginings of many stories to come.

Next is my girlfriend, Ms Emma Kwok, who has supported and understood my passion, who stood by me throughout the whole journey. Your love and support mean the world to me. Then to my uncle, Mr Almond Yu, who was a movie and Chinese opera screenwriter. Although we barely spoke and rarely seen each other, as soon as he learnt that I started writing my first book, he immediately gave me a red case and inside it was a beautiful golden pen. He said to me “Don’t give up, keep going”, that was the essential push I needed to keep pursuing my passion no matter where it leads. May he rest in peace.

And to the most important woman of my life, my mother, who took care of me throughout my lifetime, gave infinite support of what I chose to do with my life. I could not express the gratitude for everything you’ve done for me.
